Any questions? Want more information? Have a look at the information below and contact us if you have further questions.
What makes you different to other centres?
Our stunning Scottish highland lochside location, our huge range of activities in a safe environment, and the fact that we have a complete on site experience with self catering accommodation and full catering.
Where is your centre?
Loch Tay Highland Lodges Leisure Park is situated between Aberfeldy and Killin on the A827.For guests travelling by car Edinburgh A9 and Glasgow A81 are two hours drive. Main line train stations are located at Dunkeld and Crianlarich. Stirling, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park are all within an hour’s drive of Loch Tay.
What sort of groups stay at the centre?
Over the last few years we have probably had nearly every type of group you can think of! Our main groups are stags and hens, corporate groups, car clubs – and schools, colleges and youth groups staying on activity holidays or weekends, or enjoying activity days. As well as an increasing number of functions and weddings.
What do you offer?
We offer a huge range of high quality adventurous activities. Genuine adventure activities not "filler" activities such as games and sports like some other cheaper centres offer. Full activity days typically consist of two full sessions of adventure activities.
As an accommodation provider we can sleep up to 250 people. This makes us an ideal base for groups, both large and small, to stay and do their own thing, a DIY visit.
Is it safe to bring my group to you?
Safety is always a key issue when organising a visit especially involving adventure activities and especially young people. We can give you the reassurance that we place health and safety as the cornerstone of all our operations.
Do we have to do adventure activities?
Not at all. You can just take single sessions or days of the activities of your choice if you wish We are unique in the group accommodation market in being able to offer both fully inclusive activity days and holidays as well as just accommodation. We are also ideal for functions such as celebrations and weddings having an experienced catering team and a well stocked bar.
We're a group of adults - can we stay at the centre?
Of course you can! We don't usually have adult groups and groups of young people staying at the same time.
Two of my group are wheelchair users - is the centre suitable?
Loch Tay Highland Lodges is suitable for some wheelchair users. Whilst we are in no way a specialist centre, we support groups with positive inclusion policies.
We work with you to ensure the most suitable accommodation is provided and that the adventure activities are accessible where possible.
We can't afford a visit. Can you help?
We are already providing excellent value for money accommodation and activities but we know that some groups may not have the funds to experience them.
We don't believe in offering a lower quality experience at a lower price and we want everyone to have the opportunity for a residential and activity visit.
The best way to have an affordable visit is to look outside the main, peak season. October and November are excellent months for a visit in terms of usually good weather. March and April are equally good months. The biggest discounts are available during the winter months, November to February.
Are you open during the winter?
We're open all year! Nearly all the adventure activities are available during the winter (maybe not Gorge Walking!) and our groups tell us that the colder weather doesn't affect the great time they have! Don't forget the seasonal discounts available during the winter.
Are you Insured?
Yes, full Public Liability Insurance. And we ensure all our partner providers are appropriately covered.
Are your activity programmes flexible?
Yes, we pride ourselves on ensuring that all that come to Loch Tay have an input into their programme and that each activity programme provides the elements that they want.
Are your staff qualified?
Yes, we choose our staff very carefully and are fully aware of the qualifications that they must hold.
The ability to relate to, and communicate with, clients of all ages is also an important part of staff makeup. We also take into account experience and character when new staff are employed.
Can you take groups with special needs?
Yes, we have experience of individuals and groups with special needs. These have ranged from physical disabilities to people with learning difficulties. We would discuss your particular needs and requirements before preparing a programme for you.
Can you cater for special diets?
Yes, we have qualified catering staff who can cater for any special diet. We do ask that you give us a little bit of notice for unusual dietary needs.
What group size can you accommodate?
Groups of up to 250 can be comfortably accommodated at the centre.
